Mission:
Hosting Valley Viewpoint episodes helps to draw a community audience to Blue Mountain Television.

The program is one of the greatest gifts that BMT gives to our community. Hosts of the show make the show interesting and informative.

It is a great responsibility and a rewarding opportunity to find out more about our valley and share that with our television audience.

Job Duties:
1. Coordinates the selection of guests with the Valley Viewpoint scheduler/producer.
2. Meets with (in person, or by phone) with the individual(s) to be interviewed, for a pre-interview.
3. Meets the guests for the show at the green room at the studio at least 15 minutes before show time.
4. Hosts the program, including proper introduction, questions for guest(s), transition to station break, and close of show – following the exact time cues of the floor director.

Previous Experience:
While no previous experience in television work is needed, the individual must show aptitude in communication skills, and have “television presence.” An audition will be required.

Time Requirements:
This job requires at least 2 hours of volunteer time per program. Usually, hosts take one program per week, although other schedules can be arranged.

Of course, the benefit that the station receives from the volunteer time is obvious.
