Master Control Operator
Volunteer

Mission:
Operating Master Control is one of the most important jobs at BMT.

Master Control Operators put the programs and spots on the air.

Their actions directly effect the perception of BMT and the message of the programming.

This job makes an eternal difference for the Kingdom of God because the programming aired on the station is often life-changing for those who are watching.

Job Duties:
1. Read the detailed program log

2. Prepare media (tapes, DVD’s and hard drives)

3. Using on-air switcher, play appropriate programs as designated by the program log

4. Monitor audio levels on all media played

5. Record programs (on hard drive or tape) for later play as requested

6. Initial program log when each program and spot is aired

Note: Training for operating Master Control is provided by BMT.

Time Requirements:
This job requires at least 45 min. of volunteer time per week. However, shifts at master control can be up to 3 or 4 hours in length. Volunteers are encouraged to arrange a schedule that works for them with the Master Control team leader/staff member.
