We currently have an urgent need for Master Control Operators. The person who plays Blue Mountain Television's on air programs, is called the Master Control Operator. Running master control has sometimes been described by volunteers as 29 minutes of calm followed by 1 minute of panic. It’s hard work, and volunteers should have a basic understanding of technology. Running master control is a lot like running your VCR or DVD player... except there are multiple machines and several thousand people watching you. Sound intimidating? We hope so. Being a master control operator is an important job. Not only is the credibility of Blue Mountain Television on the line, but so is the credibility of the faith and the ideas we’re sharing. But don’t be afraid. With training and support, you’ll be prepared. Deciding to be a Master Control Operator is not just about your interest in technology or about the staffs desire to see more variety and stability in programing. It's about introducing people to a whole new life with Christ. You can volunteer for as little as 45 minutes a week and Volunteer hours are flexible. To view a master control job description, click here, or to apply, call Blue Mountain Television at 509-529-9149. You can make a difference. |
